Eliminate Ants Using Non-Toxic Remedies
While ants are not one of the largest problems we will ever face in our lives, they can become a major nuisance for those attempting to eliminate them. Ants will invade just about any home, even if it is exceptionally clean. Ants are often driven inside by heavy rains.
Some ants will make their nests in the gaps in your homes walls, coming into your home in search of food and moisture. Some ant infestations can be very large. Ants may also be drawn to the heat within your shoes or clothes.
Steps to Eliminate Ants
Baby powder, which is available in just about every home, is a safe and effective way to deal with your ant problem. Ants will get upset as soon as you sprinkle the powder on top of them. You can keep ants away from your sugar bowl, honey container, and pet food dishes by sprinkling baby powder around them. Vinegar is another inexpensive and readily available ant remedy. Fill a spray bottle with vinegar and spray everywhere you find ants. The smell of the vinegar will dissipate as is dries. Spices, including black pepper and cinnamon, are other non-toxic and inexpensive ways to deal with ants.

Outdoor Ant Control Method: The best method is to locate the ant mound or colony and pour boiling water on top of it. The water must be between 160 and 170 degrees. The method works best if used between 11:00am and 2:00pm.
Indoor Ant Control Method: Place a cup of grits or cream of wheat near where you have seen ants entering. The granules will expand in the ants stomach, killing them.
