Ants in our home can also bite and harm our children and pets. Handy Chemicals to Tackle Ants The simplest of all the chemical solutions is combining cleansing detergent with water. The solution can be put into a spray bottle and sprayed on ants to immediately immobilize them. This makes it easy to wipe away the ant trail.

Another handy chemical is diatomaceous earth which is made from the fossilized remains of diatoms. Fill any cracks or crevices you may have with this powder. This substance will kill ants as it comes into contact with their hard outer shell. A good alternative to diatomaceous earth is silica aero gel.

Ants can also be eliminated through the use of boric acid. You can find solutions in several different forms, including aerosols, dust, and bait. Ant bait can be a very smart way to fix your ant problem. It is a mixture of poison and food that ants will pick up and bring back to their colonies. As the ants of the colonies feed on the bait the colony will die off. There are several different forms of gel, including gels, liquids, and pastes. You should look for prime locations to place the bait to ensure that the ants will find it and return it to their colony.
