Removing Ants with AcidsOne of the most common, and disturbing, pests that we can find around our homes is ants.
One of the most common, and disturbing, pests that we can find around our homes is ants. No matter what we do the problem just seams to always get worse. There are many different types of ants, with some of the most common being black ants, carpenter ants, and fire ants. These ants can be a great annoyance to both the humans and pets in a household. Some of these ants are capable of delivering a very strong bite, causing significant pain to both toddlers and pets alike. There are many options available when it comes time to deal with an ant infestation. Many of these options are natural remedies while others involve the use of toxic chemicals. The use of acids is one of the most effective solutions available when it comes to tackling ants. Advantages and Disadvantages of Using Acid
Common acids that are used to control ants include sulphuric acid op phosphoric acid, both of which are readily available. This is one of the most severe ant remedies available, as it will instantly eat through the outer shells of the ants and kill them. Acid should be poured on any ants you find in your house as well as any of the points of entry you see ants using to enter the house. The main disadvantage of using acid is that it is potentially very dangerous to both humans and animals. It can cause significant damage to people and pets on contact. You should carefully consider which areas are safe to use acid, and which could potentially bring the acid into contact with either your children or your pets. There is no denying that acid is an effective solution to an ant problem. While it is sure to work, it may not be the best solution for your home, especially if you have children or pets.
